| Happy Boxing Day Story Time! |

Alright, Michiko. Here's a stab at sentiment, just in time for Boxing Day, the most emotional of all holidays:
It's no big secret that I've never had the best relationship with my parents. They aren't completely horrible, but between all the arguments and fights and threats we've definitely been on strained terms. When I came home this past summer, things went as they usually do: everything is fine for the first few weeks, then we start to get on each others' nerves (mostly my mom and myself), and then after a month or so it turns into full-blown hostility. Over the last few years I've learned to just avoid them as much as possible during that phase, so when I noticed my dad had been working even later hours than usual, it was strange but worked out for me. Now, color me fucking surprised when I ask my parents how much I owe in student loans (so I can start figuring out how much to save in Korea), and they respond that I don't owe anything.
Those late hours my dad was working? He was racking up overtime to apparently pay off all my loans. It was the strangest and most touching thing I can remember them ever doing for me, made all the weirder by how they never even told me until I asked about it. Now I'm free and clear, and can literally do anything I want, anywhere. Needless to say, my romantic 60s-era beatnik side has been thrilled with the possibilities. What's possibly even more touching to me, though, is how right before I left, my mom ironed all my shirts. My mom is not a person who irons, and the fact she ironed a dozen of my shirts for me is an incredible occurrence, like a blue moon or a good Uwe Boll movie. Once in a lifetime shit.
Anyways, that's my story. Yay sentiment! Now I think I'll go back to soul-shattering tales of mischief, mayhem and maekchu. That's Korean for beer. We drink a lot of it 'round these parts. WHOO CHRISTMAS |

I was just informed by the Bellingham Municipal Court that they declined to lower my fine because I missed my court date. Shit. I went in the next day and gave them my insurance card, but no... $550 fine. Fuck me fuck me fml. I guess I won't be buying a car anytime soon. |

Hey baby. It's been awhile. I know, I should've been around more, but I've been busy! I swear! Yeah, there's that other blog on the side, but you know you'll always be special to me! Besides, she's Korean and she just doesn't get things the way you do.
So if anything still reads this, I'll tell you what. As a special Christmas present from baby Jesus to you, I will tell any story you guys want. The worst sex I've ever had (the couch/Adderall saga)? Blurring and Whirring PART DEUCE?! Another Korean blog post like, say, a video tour of my apartment in the Orient? Is there another horrible story I haven't embarrassed myself to your satisfaction with? Leave a comment and let me know. If LJ is truly Yorrick'd, then I'll probably make another Korea post. THE FUTURE IS YOURS |
